THE CHICAGO WOMEN'S FUNNY FESTIVAL
A Celebration of Women in Comedy
The Chicago Women’s Funny Festival features all comedic art forms including stand up, sketch, solo, vaudeville, improvisational, musical and more. The event packs over 80 shows, featuring over 500 performers from over 160 groups into four funny-filled days in June. Founded in 2012 by Jill Valentine and Liz McArthur, CWFF celebrates the incredible talents and creative contributions by women in comedy from around the country.
The Comedy Prep School
COMEDY PREP SCHOOL
A one day comedy extravaganza for young performers.

The producers of The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival and Chicago Women’s Funny Festival are proud to present a brand new, one-day festival for young comedians on May 13, 2017. Comedy Prep School (CPS) includes workshops taught by professional performers and teachers from Chicago’s world-class comedy institutions, opportunities to learn, play, and perform with 100+ fellow young comedians, and two exclusive performances by hilarious, high-caliber comedy groups. The Chicago Prep School will focus on improv and sketch comedy. Individual students and groups ages 12-17 are welcome (chaperones requested for large groups). The Stage 773 One Act Festival features some of Chicago’s most creative off-loop theater companies sharing a stage. Unified under a new theme for every festival, each company is commissioned to create or adapt a piece of theater that represents their company’s vibe, body of work, or collective artists. As seasoned festival producers and a home to many of Chicago’s best off-loop companies, Stage 773 is the natural home for a festival-production mash up!

The Largest Sketch Comedy Festival in the Nation
The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival is the largest in the nation, hosting over 180 groups from around the globe, performing nearly 200 shows over 8 days. Every hour, on the hour, performances take place in each of Stage 773's four performance spaces. With the festival averaging 20 shows a night, over 11,000 patrons annually brave the Chicago winter to enjoy this comedy oasis. Founded in 2002 by Brian Posen and Brian Peterlin, SketchFest gathers comedians and comedy lovers together to create and celebrate in the sketch capital of the world.
