40 years ago, 1225 W. Belmont opened its doors to provide the best in off-loop Chicago theater to our great city. Companies such as Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare, and Lookingglass all began within these walls. Now, Stage 773 needs your help to usher in the next era of performing arts.

In September 2018, we will break ground in renovating and revolutionizing an entirely new space. We will transform our Thrust Theater into a “Theater of Possibilities.” This new and unique flexible space will allow artistic companies to create completely customized experiences for their performances and audiences. With no other space like this in Chicago, it is sure to make an enormous impact on theater in our city.
