Diane/Lies We Tell Ourselves

Saturday, Jan 11
9 PM | Cab Theater

"Diane" is a one-hour solo-sketch comedy that incorporates North American sketch writing styles with the physical influences of clown, mime and commedia dell’arte. The show satirizes those people in your life you kinda know but definitely hate and uses polarizing genres and physical comedy to tell the story of Diane: a woman who must embody many Dianes in order to figure out which one is ultimately right for her.

Jackie Skinner is a comedian based in NYC where she performs on Magnet Theater’s Friday Night sketch team, The Executives, and independently writes and performs characters as well as stand-up throughout the city. Her solo character show, "Lies We Tell Ourselves", has graced the stages of the Magnet, UCBNY, PIT, and Improv Boston..to name a few. Jackie has performed in shows, birthday parties, and festivals all over the U.S., including: iO Chicago's Bentwood Festival, the Boston Comedy Arts Festival, Seattle’s Highlarious Comedy Festival, Indianapolis’s Crossroads Comedy Festival, Greenville’s Comedy Festival, the 6th Borough Comedy Festival, and Funniest Person in Austin Competition. As a retired member of Magnet Theater’s musical improv house teams Brightside, Squash, and Captains, Jackie also enjoys singing. www.jackieskinner.com | instagram & twitter: @jackiebskinner.
